And within seconds, you get a calm, confident response.

It feels reassuring.

It feels intelligent.

It feels like you have just saved yourself hundreds of pounds in legal fees.

But have you?

Or have you just received an answer that sounds right…

But is completely wrong?

When you are separating or divorcing, you do not just need information.

You need clarity.

Because there is too much noise.

Friends telling you what happened in their divorce.

Facebook groups giving you extreme advice.

Solicitors’ letters making everything sound terrifying.

Your ex telling you what you are “entitled” to.

And Google giving you either American law, outdated law, or complete nonsense.

That is where people get stuck.

They do not know what matters.

They do not know what does not.

They do not know whether they are being reasonable, bullied, naive, or badly advised.

A Consent Order is the legal document by which financial matters are finalised on divorce.

Without this, you are vulnerable to your partner making a financial claim years later.
